Man charged with attempted murder in stabbing of 11-year-old girl in a London tourism hot spot – Associated Press
GN notes: Loan Pintaru, 32, a Romanian citizen, stabbed eight times an eleven-year-old girl. Two weeks ago, three girls were killed while eight others were seriously wounded, triggering many demonstrations in the UK. So called “far right” Britons are sent to jail for posting their opposition to mass immigration of violent criminals. Meanwhile, another girl was almost knifed to death by an immigrant from Romania. Let that sink in for a minute.

British Columbia venue cancels feminist event opposing gender ideology after pressure from LGBT activists – Right Edition
GN notes: “Trans activists called and emailed Ambrosia incessantly, showed up at the venue, harassed staff, causing one young female to have what she described as a ‘mental breakdown.’” “They vandalized the building, which, alongside the mental breakdown, appears to have been the last straw.” Trans activists are extremists with the goal to impose their views, never to debate them.

Final chapter of “Freedom Convoy” organizers’ trial begins with closing arguments – The Canadian Press
GN notes: Tamara Lich spent 46 days in jail without bail, while violent criminals walk free. Regardless of the outcome, the process of this lengthy trial is the punishment for opposing the Liberals’ illegal invocation of the Emergency Act, which has been found by the courts. The government is still holding 5M in donations to the truckers’ organisation.

Man faces charges after three people have fingers cut off near La Ronge, Sask. – Star Pheonix
GN notes: This man was “also charged with four counts of failing to comply with a release condition; the release said the man was subject to an arrest warrant for failing to attend court and RCMP had received a report that he’d cut off a device monitoring his court-ordered curfew on June 20.” Another criminal on bail, this time using his freedom to cut off fingers. Our justice system is a farce.

CBC paid over $18 million in bonuses in 2024 after it eliminated hundreds of jogs – The Canadian Press
GN notes: “More than $3.3 million of that was paid to 45 executives.” That means those executives got an average bonus of over $73,000, which is more than the median family income after taxes in 2022, according to Statistics Canada. CBC’s business fails, employees are fired, and executives get “performances” bonuses. Why are taxpayers on the hook for this nonsense?

Bill on banning Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine splits Zelenskyy’s Servant of the People party – RBC Ukraine
GN notes: “Besides the expected resistance from the fragments of the pro-Russian Opposition Platform – For Life party, active opponents of the initiative were also in the ranks of the Servant of the People. Some of them are current clergymen of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, who opposed the bill most actively.” Western democracies support Zelensky’s persecution of Christians. The world has gone mad.

Groundswell against gender-affirming care becoming too loud to ignore – National Post
GN notes: “For the majority of young people, a medical pathway may not be the best way to manage their gender-related distress.” “It is not enough to provide this [surgical/cross sex drug pathways] without also addressing wider mental health and/or psychosocially challenging problems.” Yet the theories and treatments deplored in this report continue to be considered best practices in Canada. The Liberal government not only favours “gender affirmation” model, it passed a “conversion therapy” law that criminalizes the withholding of cross-sex drugs from, or offering holistic psychotherapy to, gender-confused children.

Premiers should follow Doug Ford on collecting bail statistics – National Post
GN notes: “The [BAIL] leniency shown to hardened criminals has saddled communities with crime. Decisions often go unpublished. Policymakers largely fly blind. Ontario Premier Doug Ford has taken notice of all this — and has wisely opted for a change.” Although statistics are welcome, in the end courts have immunity. It’s the Liberal Minister of Justice Arif Virani’s duty to amend the Criminal Code of Canada by removing the courts’ discretion, and impose mandatory jail (no bail) for violent criminals.

B.C. court overturns RTB decision evicting man on disability – CBC News
GN notes: After numerous requests to pay up a $45 underpayment of his rent and other undisclosed shortfalls, the landlord sought the tenant’s eviction. Justice Lisa Warren called the Residential Tenancy Board (RTB) ruling “patently unreasonable” in a court decision posted Tuesday. Government pays legal aid (thousands of dollars), court time (more thousands of dollars) to support a non-paying tenant. Worse still, it acknowledges the default of the tenant and forces the landlord to cover part of the tenant’s legal fees for the procedure. That is “patently unreasonable”.
